Let me invite you to yet another spectacular conference- the WPA Co sponsored 3rd International Mental Health & Cultural Psychiatry Conference organised by the Indo Australasian Psychiatry Association & South Asian Forum Australasia Chapter and the WPA Section on Psychiatry in Developing countries. This meeting will bring leaders of Psychiatry and mental health from West and East together in our beautiful country. You will have the opportunity to hear world leaders in all aspects of psychiatry speak. What is unique here is the holistic aspects which will see the interface of culture, spirituality, mental health science and well being. An important feature is the Co sponsorship of this conference by the newly formed WPA Section on Psychiatry in Developing countries. Leaders from developing countries from all of the regions as in Asia Pacific, Central and Latin America, Europe and Africa, will join with leaders in psychiatry from developed world to deliberate and suggest ways and means to advance the mental health and well being of the vast communities in the developing countries of the globe. There will be a focus on disaster recovery and rehabilitation mental health to learn from the experiences of disaster s of recent times.A new dimension is the co sponsorship of this conference by the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists that adds renewed collaboration of the Australasian leaders in psychiatry and Global psychiatry -another positive direction.
